JACK L WEAVER PTA IS A DYNAMIC PARENT VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION WHO SUPPORTS THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT WEAVER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE PTA SUPPORTS ACADEMIC AND ART ENRICHED PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE ANNUAL STEAM FAIR, MEET THE MASTERS ART PROGRAM, PACIFIC SYMPHONY CLASS ACT MUSIC PROGRAM, AND IMAGINATION MACHINE WRITING PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, WE EMBRACE UNITY THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS SUCH AS CARNIVAL, ICE CREAM SOCIAL, FAMILY MOVIE NIGHTS, AN ANNUAL TALENT SHOW, SUMMER JAM, AND FIFTH GRADE ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTION ASSEMBLY. OUR BIGGEST FUNDRAISER IS OUR JOGATHON THAT SUPPORTS OUR PROGRAMS FINANCIALLY AS WELL AS BRINGS FORTH A COMMUNITY OF VOLUNTEERS TO CHEER ON OUR RUNNERS. WEAVER PTA STRIVES TO BE INCLUSIVE OF ALL STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN PARTICIPATING IN EACH OF OUR PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. WE SUPPORT OUR VETERANS WITH A SPECIAL VETERAN'S FLAG CEREMONY AND OUR FIRST RESPONDERS WITH A SPECIAL RED RIBBON FLAG CEREMONY. WE SUPPORT OUR INCOMING KINDERGARTNERS BEFORE SCHOOL EVEN STARTS SO OUR YOUNGEST STUDENTS WILL HAVE FAMILIAR FACES ON THEIR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. ALL IN ALL, WEAVER PTA IS A COMMUNITY DRIVEN ORGANIZATION THAT CELEBRATES THE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF EACH STUDENT ON CAMPUS.IN 2020, JACK L WEAVER PTA ENGAGD A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST AND ADOLESCENT SPECIALIST WHO PROVIDED STUDENT & PARENT MENTAL HEALTH PRESENTATIONS FOCUSED ON NAVIGATING THE EMOTIONAL IMPACTS OF COVID-19 AND PROVIDING TOOLS TO DEAL WITH STRESS, DRAMA, AND CHALLENGES AS WELL AS AN EXPLANATION ON HOW TO USE THOSE TOOLS TO INCREASE CHILDREN'S SELF CONFIDENCE.
