ERA HAD CASES--4775 CASES AIDED BY OUR ORGANIZATIONS 83 CASES AIDED BY OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, 573 CASES REFERRED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SOCIAL SERVICES/573 INFORMATION & REFERRAL,AND 17 CASES WER NOT CONSIDERED TO BE FINANCIAL EMERGENCIES. TYPES OF AID GIVEN BY EMERGENCY RESOURCES ASSOCIATION 4070 EMERGENCY FOODS WERE PROVIDED--13493 PERSONS/50,492 MEALS) 57 LODGING 236 SHELTER NIGHTS/584 PERSONS) 57 EMERGENCY GASOLINE 13 UTILITIES 17 RENTAL ASSISTANCE (51 PERSONS) 18 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH FURNITURE 49 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH CLOTHING (377 PERSONS) 461 HOMELESS COFORT KITS/HYGIENE PRODUCTS 12 CHILDREN RECEIVED GLASSES (4,754 CASES INVOLVING 14,379 PERSONS) 14,160 MILES WERE TRAVELED AND APPROXIMATELY 10,031 PHONE CALLS WERE MADE TO HANDLE REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE. OUR MILEAGE INCLUDES HOME VISITS TO CLIENTS TO ASSESS THE NEEDS, FOOD DELIVERIES TO DISABLED PERSONS,AND SENIORS AND FAMILIES THAT ARE NOT ABLE TO GET TO OTHER FOOD BANKS FOR LACK OF TRANSPORTATION. ERA PICKS UP DONATED ITEMS, MAKES TRIPS TO THE LOS ANGELES REGIONAL FOOD BANK FOUR TIMES A MONTH.
