FRIENDLY CENTERS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE STABILITY, OPPORTUNITY, AND HOPE TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN POVERTY. FRIENDLY CENTER UTILIZES A COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER MODEL OF PROGRAM-DELIVERY TO OFFER INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND SENIORS A COMPREHENSIVE ONE-STOP-SHOP THAT ALLOWS THEM TO EFFICIENTLY RECEIVE ASSISTANCE IN MULTIPLE AREAS OF NEED BRINGING FRIENDLY CENTER CLOSER TO REALIZING ITS VISION OF BREAKING THE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL POVERTY IN ORANGE COUNTY.

FRIENDLY CENTERS FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS PROVIDE OVER 15 FREE STABILITY AND SKILL BUILDING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR LOW-INCOME ORANGE COUNTY INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND SENIORS AS THEY NAVIGATE THE CHALLENGES OF POVERTY. OUR PROGRAM DELIVERY MODEL OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE ONE-STOP-SHOP THAT ALLOWS CLIENTS TO EFFICIENTLY RECEIVE ASSISTANCE IN MULTIPLE AREAS OF NEED. THROUGH OUR FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS 7,522 DUPLICATED FAMILIES RECEIVED 300,915 POUNDS OF FRESH AND SHELF STABLE FOOD; THROUGH OUR INFORMATION & REFERRAL SERVICES 3,701 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS WERE CONNECTED TO MULTIPLE ON-SITE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OR REFERRED AS NEEDED FOR ASSISTANCE; THROUGH CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES 163 UNDUPLICATED FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM; THROUGH THE AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC TUTORING PROGRAM 18,000 HOURS OF ASSISTANCE WAS AVAILABLE FOR 1ST-8TH STUDENTS.


HOUSING PROGRAMS: THE CENTER OWNED AND MANAGED EIGHT SECTION 8 APARTMENTS FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND OR SINGLE ADULTS DURING THE YEAR. THE PROGRAM WAS TERMINATED DURING THE YEAR.
