THE PRODUCERS GUILD OF AMERICA FOUNDATION'S PURPOSES ARE TO: (A) CONTRIBUTE TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND (B) ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE IN ALL FORMS OF MEDIA: (I) EXCELLENCE IN PRODUCING IN THE FIELD OF ENTERTAINMENT; (II) EDUCATION OF PRODUCERS IN THE FIELD OF ENTERTAINMENT; (III) FORUMS IN THE FIELD OF ENTERTAINMENT; AND (IV) ANY OTHER PERMITTED PURPOSE WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. AMONG THE FOUNDATION'S MAJOR INITIATIVES ARE THE GREEN PRODUCTION GUIDE AND THE INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION SAFETY INITIATIVE.

THE TEAM THAT OVERSEES THE PRODUCERS GUILD OF AMERICA GREEN PRODUCTION GUIDE AS WELL AS THE GREEN COMMITTEE, MAINTAINS A WEBSITE OFFERING UP-TO-THE-MINUTE INFORMATION DESIGNED TO HELP MEMBERS ACHIEVE A SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION. IT SERVES AS AN INFORMATIONAL CLEARING HOUSE FOR EVERYTHING MEMBERS NEED TO "GREEN" THEIR PRODUCTION, FROM AN INTERNATIONAL INTERACTIVE VENDOR LIST TO BEST PRACTICES AND CARBON CALCULATOR. THE GREEN COMMITTEE IS LEADING THE CHARGE TOWARD ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY PRODUCTIONS WORLD-WIDE.
PGA DEVELOPED IPSI, THE INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION SAFETY INITIATIVE, TO FUNDAMENTALLY GUIDE, AND BRING AWARENESS AND SUPPORT TO, HOW INDEPENDENT PRODUCTIONS DEAL WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND BULLYING ON AND OFF SETS. IPSI OFFERS PREVANTIVE TRAINING WITH THE GOAL OF ELIMINATING HARASSMENT ON SET. PGA BELIEVES THIS PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE REAL AND MEANINGFUL ASSISTANCE TO INDEPENDENT PRODUCERS. AND WILL HELP FOSTER CULTURAL CHANGE.IPSI GIVES ELIGIBLE INDEPENDENT PRODUCTIONS, AT NO COST, AN HOUR OF PROFESSIONAL ON SET ANTI-HARASSMENT TRAINING FROM OUTSIDE COUNSEL, A CONTENT LIBRARY OF RELEVANT MATERIALS, AND UP TO TWO HOURS OF FREE LEGAL CONSULTATION FROM OUTSIDE COUNSEL WHEN THE TRAINING IS COMPLETED. IN ADDITION TO THE FREE ON SET TRAINING, IPSI PROVIDES FREE QUARTERLY TRAININGS, IN US PRODUCTION HUBS, TO ANYONE WORKING IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. THE IPSI CONTENT LIBRARY INCLUDES MATERIALS, SUCH AS SAMPLE CODES OF CONDUCT, CHECKLISTS, AND RESOURCE GUIDES. BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC, THE GUILD'S INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION SAFETY INITIATIVE HAS BEEN OFFERING VIRTUAL TRAININGS AND SERVICES.
