CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL: PROVIDES ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL SKILLS. SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 125 STUDENTS PER YEAR; STUDENTS ARE AGES 9-16 YEARS AND ARE FROM CULTURALLY DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS. THE PROGRAM OPERATES MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, FROM 6:30 A.M. UNTIL 5:00 P.M., AND SATURDAYS FROM 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 5:00 P.M., 50 WEEKS PER YEAR; ALL ACADEMIC SUBJECTS ARE ENCOMPASSED IN THE PROGRAM ENHANCED BY MUSIC/BAND ACTIVITIES AND A LIVE SHAKESPEAREAN PERFORMANCE UTILIZING ALL STUDENTS.
