THE HOLLYWOOD MEDIA BIDS PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY ACTIVITIES BENEFIT THE PROPERTY OWNERS WHO FUND THESE SERVICES THROUGH THEIR ASSESSMENTS. THE BIDS SAFETY PATROL, UNIFORMED NEON YELLOW, TOUR THE DISTRICT BY CAR, BIKE AND FOOT TO PROVIDE PEDESTRIAN AND VISITOR INFORMATION, MERCHANT VISITS, VEHICULAR ASSISTANCE, HOMELESS OUTREACH AND ACT AS EXTRA SAFETY PATROL OFFICER TO SUPPORT THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT.
THE HOLLYWOOD MEDIA DISTRICT BIDS MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES BENEFIT THE PROPERTY OWNERS WHO FUND THESE SERVICES THROUGH THEIR ASSESSMENTS. THE BID KEEPS THE DISTRICTS ENVIRONMENT CLEAN BY CONTRACTING WITH THIRD PARTY VENDORS TO SWEEP THE STREETS, POWER-WASH SIDEWALKS AND BENCHES, REMOVE GRAFFITI AND EMPTY TRASH CANS. IN ADDITION, THE MEDIA DISTRICT HIRES THIRD PARTIES TO TRIM TREES, PULL WEEDS, AND COMPLETE SPECIAL LANDSCAPE/BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS. THE BID PURCHASES STREET FURNITURE AND TRASH RECEPTACLES TO IMPROVE THE COMFORT AND CLEANLINESS OF THE DISTRICT.
THE HOLLYWOOD MEDIA DISTRICT BID PROMOTES THE DISTRICTS AMENITIES AND ACTIVITIES THROUGH A WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA, NEWSLETTERS, COMMUNICATIONS AND SPECIAL MARKETING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING THE ANNUAL STAKEHOLDERS MEETING. IN ADDITION, THE BID ENCOURAGES THE DISTRICTS NONPROFIT COMMUNITY TO APPLY FOR OUR NONPROFIT PURPOSE GRANTS (NPG) TO SUPPORT THEIR WORK. BID STAKEHOLDERS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE AT THE BOARD MEETINGS AND ALL MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETINGS.
