CARE NET WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER OF NORTH COUNTY EXISTS TO COMPASSIONATELY EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO MAKE HEALTHY AND INFORMED DECISIONS REGARDING THEIR PREGNANCIES AND TO BE A LEADER IN PROMOTING POSITIVE SEXUAL VALUES.

THIS YEAR OUR LICENSED COMMUNITY CLINIC WAS STAFFED BY 60 VOLUNTEERS, SUPPORTED BY BOARD OF 8 MEMBERS, PLUS OUR GREAT STAFF.WE HAD 1,457 VISITORS TO THE CENTER. MOST OF THE CLIENTS WE SEE ARE LOW INCOME, OFTEN UNINSURED, AS SUCH BECAUSE ALL OF OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT NO COST, THEY CAN BE SEEN WITHOUT THE CONCERN FOR PAYMENT RESTRICTING ACCESS. WHILE IMPACTED BY THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, WE WERE ABLE TO REMAIN OPEN AND SERVED CLIENTS BY COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRACTICES THAT LA COUNTY AND THE CDC SUGGESTED FOR CLEANING SURFACES, DISTANCING, MASKING, AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE LOBBY AT ONE TIME.IN THE CLINIC WE GAVE 479 PREGNANCY TESTS (414 WERE POSITIVE). WE PROVIDED 257 ULTRASOUNDS TO CONFIRM PREGNANCY. EACH CLIENT WAS OFFERED PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION, COMMUNITY RESOURCES, MEDICALLY ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT FETAL DEVELOPMENT, PREGNANCY, AND THE IMPACT OF ABORTION ON A WOMAN'S HEALTH. 82 OF THE CLINIC PATIENTS WERE TEENAGERS; MORE THAN 74% WERE PERSONS OF COLOR WITH OVER 60% BEING HISPANIC/LATINAPATIENTS WERE ASSESSED IN TERMS OF THEIR INITIAL OUTLOOK ON THE PREGNANCY; WITH INTENTIONS TO PARENT, PLACE FOR ADOPTION, OR TO CONSIDER ABORTION. WE OFFERED INFORMATION, SUPPORT, AND OPTIONS SO THAT WOMEN KNEW THAT THEY HAD OPTIONS AND HAD HELP THEY MIGHT NEED TO CHOOSE PARENTING. IN OUR MATERIALS & EDUCATION DIVISION WE HAVE PROVIDED ON-LINE CLASSES FOR EXPECTANT MOMS AND DADS ENROLLED IN OUR PARENTING PROGRAM CALLED "EARN WHILE YOU LEARN" WHICH PROVIDES INSTRUCTION USING A CURRICULUM FROM BRIGHTCOURSE.44 CLIENTS WERE ENROLLED IN PARENTING CLASSESWE HAD 133 VISITS TO RECEIVE MATERIAL GOODS SUCH AS DIAPERS, CLOTHING, BLANKETS, FORMULA, AND STROLLERS.WE ENCOURAGE CLIENTS TO CONNECT WITH LOCAL CHURCHES AND TO GROW IN THEIR PERSONAL FAITH. WE HELD 495 SPIRITUAL DISCUSSION WITH CLIENTS, GAVE 388 BIBLES TO CLIENTS, AND SHARED IN 672 PRAYERS WITH OUR CLIENTS.A POST ABORTION HEALING SUPPORT CLASS IS ALSO OFFERED AND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS OUR CLIENTS, AND USES A RESTORATIVE CURRICULUM CALLED "SURRENDERING THE SECRET."ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS HAVE OUTSTANDING EXIT SURVEYS. WE KNOW THAT OUR CLIENTS ARE PLEASED WITH OUR SERVICES, FEEL WELCOME, AND HELPED DURING THEIR TIME WITH US. WE TAKE TREMENDOUS SATISFACTION IN KNOWING THAT OUR WELL-CONTENT CLIENTS WILL PROMOTE FUTURE BUSINESS FOR US.
