THE MISSION OF NO LIMITS IS TO TEACH DEAF CHILDREN THE SKILLS TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND IN LIFE THROUGH ITS NATIONAL THEATER GROUP AND EDUCATIONAL CENTERS.

FOUNDED IN 1996 BY CNN HERO, DR. MICHELLE CHRISTIE, NO LIMITS FOR DEAF CHILDREN IS THE ONLY AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY THAT PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, LITERACY, ACADEMICS, STEM, THEATER ARTS, TEEN AND MENTORING PROGRAM AND PARENT EDUCATION AND SUPPORT, AT NO COST TO THE FAMILIES. NO LIMITS HAS PERFORMED IN OVER 180 PRODUCTIONS NATIONWIDE, WITH AN OUTREACH OF 1,000,000 IN 14 STATES. NO LIMITS FOR DEAF CHILDREN HAS HAD THE DISTINCT HONOR OF MAKING HISTORY BY PERFORMING AT THE PRESTIGIOUS JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AND THE HISTORIC VENUE, CARNEGIE HALL IN NEW YORK CITY.THE NO LIMITS PROGRAM WAS EXTENDED BEYOND THE THEATRICAL ARTS TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AUDITORY, SPEECH, AND LANGUAGE TRAINING YEAR-ROUND WITH THE OPENING OF THE FIRST NO LIMITS EDUCATIONAL CENTER IN 2002. THE CENTER SERVES SCHOOL-AGE DEAF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHO ARE UNABLE TO FIND ASSISTANCE ELSEWHERE. THE AFTER-SCHOOL CENTER OFFERS INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, LITERACY CLASSES, ACADEMIC TUTORING, STEM, MUSIC AND ARTS ENRICHMENT, AND A LEADERSHIP AND MENTORING ACADEMY FOR DEAF TEENS. ADDITIONALLY, NO LIMITS PROVIDES WEEKLY PARENT EDUCATION CLASSES TO HELP FAMILIES LEARN THE TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO BEST HELP THEIR CHILD WITH A HEARING LOSS THROUGH THEIR SCHOOL AGE YEARS.
