THE JONATHAN ART FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO COLLECT AND DISPLAY SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL ART OF CALIFORNIA, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THIS ART, AND TO MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE SUCH ART.

IN 2023 THE JONATHAN ART FOUNDATION (JAF) HOSTED 4 COMPLIMENTARY DOCENT TOURS FOR 45 GUESTS AT ITS PRIMARY VENUE IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES. ONE HUNDRED NINETY FOUR JAF BOOKS WERE DONATED TO GUESTS AT BOTH IN-PERSON EVENTS AND TO OTHER INTERESTEDPARTIES. ART FROM THE JAF COLLECTION REMAINS ON PUBLIC EXHIBITION IN 2023 AT THE CALIFORNIA COURT OF APPEALS IN RIVERSIDE, CA AND THE NATIONAL ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM IN LAS VEGAS, NV, AND AT THE PASADENA TOURNAMENT OF ROSES HOUSE. TWO PAINTINGS WERE LOANED FOR A TEMPORARY EXHIBITION. ONE AT THE SAVANNAH SHIPS OF THE SEA MARITIME MUSEUM AND THE OTHER, MOUNTAIN GLACIER, WAS AT THE LAGUNA ART MUSEUM AT "ECHOES OF PERCEPTION; PETER ALEXANDER AND CALIFORNIA IMPRESSIONISM". IN ADDITION, THE JAF SPONSORED A PRESENTATION ABOUT THE HISTORY AND SIGNIFICANCE OF CALIFORNIA PLEIN AIR ART AND SPONSORED A TALK BY THREE CURRENT CALIFORNIA ARTISTS ABOUT THEIR WORK.
