THE HARRIS GUITAR FOUNDATION HAS SUCCEEDED IN ITS MISSION TO SUPPORT THE SAN FRANCISCO CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC AND THE OMNI FOUNDATION FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS. OUR GUITAR COLLECTION HAS INFLUENCED MANY STUDENTS, FACULTY AND PERFORMERS BY ALLOWING HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE OF THE COLLECTIONS HISTORICAL INSTRUMENTS. KNOWING FIRST HAND THE HISTORY OF THE GUITARS EVOLUTION OVER 200 YEARS IS INVALUABLE FOR STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS. OUR HGF PROGRAMS AT THE CONSERVATORY HAVE GIVEN STUDENTS, FACULTY AND VISITING PERFORMERS A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR INSTRUMENT. WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT THE HARRIS GUITAR COLLECTION NOW HAS A PERMANENT HOME AT SFCM.
