SUMMER INSTITUTE PROVIDES TEACHING AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE CELLO FOR STUDENTS OF ALL AGES AND LEVELS, AS WELL AS INVITING TEACHERS TO OBSERVE CLASSES TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AS INSTRUCTORS. THIS SUMMER WILL MARK THE 47TH NATIONAL CELLO INSTITUTE. THIS WILL BE A COMPLETELY VIRTUAL EVENT USING THE ZOOM PLATFORM. ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING WIL ATTEND 3 OR 4 CLASSES EACH DAY. IN ADDITION TO THE CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION, STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN ONLINE CONCERTS AND RECITALS. DUE TO THE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND THE ECONOMIC IMPACT, THE INSTITUTE USED SOME OF THE INCOME GENERATED FROM INVESTMENTS TO FUND MOST OF THE 2021 PROGRAMS.
WINTER WORKSHOP PROVIDES TEACHING AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE CELLO, AS WELL AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO PERFORM IN ONLINE CONCERTS AND RECITALS ALONGSIDE FELLOW STUDENTS.
PUBLICATIONS ARE USED TO NOTIFY PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD OF THE OPPORTUNITY AND AVAILABILITY TO LEARN AND GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE CELLO. ADDITIONALLY, THE PUBLICATIONS ONLINE MUSIC CATALOG INCLUDES PIECES THAT SPECIALIZE IN MUSIC FOR INSTRUCTORS AND STUDENT PLAYERS. ALL PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF MUSIC GOES INTO THE NCI SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
