CHAPTER MEMBERS ARE INVOLVED IN A VARIETY OF SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING YOUNG EAGLES RALLIES, FLY-INS, BUILDING SEMINARS, AND VOLUNTEERING FOR THE ANNUAL CAMARILLO AIR SHOW.

Part 3 - Line 4a

AID IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF APPROXIMATELY 10 HOME BUILT AIRCRAFT PER YEAR WITH DIRECT ASSISTANCE, WORKSHOPS, TECHINCAL ADVISORS, HANGAR SPACE, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND EXPERT SPEAKERS AT MEETINGS.


PROVIDE ACADEMIC AND FLIGHT TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA YOUTH IN ENGINEERING, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND OTHER AIRCRAFT RELATED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.


INTEREST YOUTH IN AVIATION BY CONDUCTING TOURS DURING AIRSHOWS, OFFERING FREE AIRPLANE RIDES TO MORE THAN 300 YOUNG PEOPLE PER YEAR THROUGH THE EAA YOUNG EAGLES PROGRAM, PROVING INSTRUCTION IN NAVIGATION, RADIO COMMUNICATION AND AIRCRAFT FLIGHT SIMULATION. IN ADDITION, PROMOTE THE AIRPORT AND GENERAL AVIATION TO THE PUBLIC AS AN OUTREACH TO LOCAL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS AND FUNCTIONS.
