AID IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF APPROXIMATELY 10 HOME-BUILT EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT PER YEAR WITH DIRECT ASSISTANCE, WORKSHOPS, TECHNICAL ADVISERS AND EXPERT SPEAKERS AT MEETINGS.INTEREST YOUTH IN AVIATION BY CONDUCTING TOURS DURING AIR SHOWS, OFFERING FREE AIRPLANE RIDES TO MORE THAN 300 YOUNG PEOPLE PER YEAR THROUGH THE EAA "YOUNG EAGLES" PROGRAM, PROVIDING INSTRUCTION IN NAVIGATION, RADIO COMMUNICATIONS AND AN AIRCRAFT SIMULATOR.PROVIDE COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA YOUTH IN ENGINEERING, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE.PROMOTE THE AIRPORT AND GENERAL AVIATION TO THE PUBLIC AS AN OUTREACH TO LOCAL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO THE AIRPORT.ORGANIZE "FLY-BYS" AT THE REQUEST OF VARIOUS CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE RONALD REGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY, THE THOUSAND OAKS, CA CIVIC ARTS PLAZA AND VETRAN'S FUNERALS AT THE REQUEST OF FAMILIES.NOTE: THIS SMALL ORGANIZATION IS UNABLE TO ITEMIZE THE EXPENSES FOR THESE ACTIVITIES BECAUSE OF THE EXTENSIVE USE OF VOLUNTEERS.OUR PROGRAMS WERE SEVERLY CURTAILED IN 2020 DUE TO THE CALIFORNIA SHUTDOWN AND THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC OF COVID 19.
