CRIMINAL AND DEPORTATION DEFENSE - THE ORGANIZATION TRAINS AND ASSISTS IMMIGRATION ATTORNEYS AND PUBLIC DEFENDERS TO ASSESS AND UNDERSTAND THE IMMIGRATION CONSEQUENCES THEIR CLIENTS FACE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ADVOCATES, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, FAMILIES, AND IMMIGRATION PROFESSIONALS ON DEPORTATION DEFENSE AND CUSTODY ISSUES. THE ORGANIZATION CREATES AND DISTRIBUTES RESOURCES ANALYZING ISSUES AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE CRIMINAL AND IMMIGRATION SYSTEMS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES DIRECT REPRESENTATION AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE FACING DEPORTATION, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO FACE DEPORTATION BECAUSE OF CONTACT WITH THE CRIMINAL LEGAL SYSTEM.
