THE ORGANIZATIONS PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO ADVANCE SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, EDUCATIONAL, EMPLOYMENT AND CHARITABLE WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION HAS TWO CLASSES OF MEMBER: (1) REGULAR MEMBERS DESIGNATED AS THOSE PERSONS CURRENTLY IN ACTIVE SERVICE FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY, (2) RETIRED MEMBERS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN IN COUNTY SERVICE AND WHO HAVE SHOWN DEEP INTEREST AND INVOLVEMENT IN THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION.
