ALPHA CATHEDRAL OAKS DAY PROGRAM 1:4 PROVIDES INDEPENDENT LIVING, WORKING, SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, COMMUNITY ACCESS AND INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES. THERE WERE 86 PARTICIPANTS DURING THE CURRENT YEAR.
SLINGSHOT IS AN ART STUDIO AND GALLERY THAT PROVIDES ARTISTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES GREATER VISABILITY AND ACCESS TO SELL ART. ARTISTS WORK IN FAMILIAR MEDIUMS AND ARE INTRODUCED TO NEW MEDIUMS WITH THE INTENTION OF INSPIRING CREATIVE GROWTH BY A TEAM OF TEACHING ARTISTS. EACH ARTIST IS RECOGNIZED FOR THIER TALENT, IS SUPPOSED TO LET THEIR IMAGINATION FLOW, AND ALL ARE EXPECTED TO MAKE A COMMITMNET TO THE CREATIVE PROCESS. THERE WERE 36 PARTICIPANTS DURING THE CURRENT YEAR.
ALPHA CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES PROVIDE FAMILY SUPPORT FOR APPROXIMATELY 1050 INDIVIDUALS IN THE COUNTY OF SANTA BARBARA. THE FAMILY FIRST PROGRAM PROVIDES INFORMATION, RESOURCES, REFERRAL, AND PARENT-TO-PARENT SUPPORT.
OFFICE OF ADVOCACY PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 500 PARTICIPANTS.
