THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS THE ANNUAL LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR AND NUMEROUS EVENTS DURING THE YEAR WHICH ADVANCE AND PROMOTE AGRICULTURAL, HORTICULTURAL, VITICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL, AND OTHER INTERESTS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

YEAR-ROUND FAIR-TYPE EVENTS: LACFA RENTS ITS FACILITIES TO VARIOUS OUTSIDE PROMOTERS OF EVENTS WHICH INCLUDE EQUINE, HOME, CRAFT, MOTOR, ELECTRONIC, AND OTHER SHOWS. IN 2023, AS WE CONTINUED TO HEAD OUT OF THE PANDEMIC, WE SAW A NORMALCY RETURN TO OUR FAIRGROUNDS. EVEN THOUGH EVENTS RETURNED, THE NUMBER OF EVENTS HAVE NOT RETURNED TO PRE-PANDEMIC PERIODS.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR: THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR IS ONE THE LARGEST COUNTY FAIRS IN THE UNITED STATES. ITS PURPOSE IS TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURAL, HORTICULTURAL,INDUSTRIAL AND OTHER INTERESTS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY THROUGH THE EXHIBITION OF LIVESTOCK, POULTRY, DAIRY PRODUCTS, HOUSEHOLD AND FINE ARTS, AND SCHOOL AND EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS. IN 2023, THE ANNUAL COUNTY FAIR CAME BACK FROM A 3 YEAR HIATUS , WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FAIR BEING IN MAY FOR THE 1ST TIME IN ITS 100 YEAR OF EXISTENCE. IN ITS 100 YEARS OF HISTORY, SEPTEMBER WAS THE MONTH THE FAIR WAS NORMALLY PUT ON.
