THE PURPOSE OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY EVENT CENTER IS TO PRODUCE THE ANNUAL SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR AND PROVIDE FACILITIES AND GOUNDS THAT CAN BE USED FOR EVENTS, CONVENTIONS, SHOWS, EXPOSITIONS, TRAINING AND EDUCATION SEMINARS DURING THE YEAR. THE ASSOCIATION'S FACILITIES AND GROUNDS ARE ALSO USED BY THE VARIOUS COUNTY AND CITY AGENCIES FOR TAINING AND PUBLIC EVENTS.

THE ASSOCIATION OPERATES THE SAN MATEO EVENT CENTER (FAIRGROUNDS) UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO. THE EVENT CENTER PROVIDES A VENUE FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SHOWS, WHICH INCLUDES THE ANNUAL SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR, FACILITIES RENTALS, THE JOCKEY CLUB, PARKING AND RV PARK, AND FOOD AND BEVERAGES.
