THE WHITTIER AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (WACC), A CALIFORNIA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION, WAS FORMED IN 1914 TO SERVE THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY OF THE GREATER WHITTIER AREA THROUGH ONGOING BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT. THE WACC WORKS TO UPHOLD ITS MISSION AND SUPPORT ITS MEMBERS BY PROVIDING QUALITY NETWORKING EVENTS, MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES, LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY AND BUSINESS INFORMATION THROUGH SEMINARS.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE MAGAZINE - PUBLISHED TWICE PER YEAR AND DELIVERED TO WHITTIER BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTS. THE MAGAZINE CONTAINS IMPORTANT AND INTERESTING WHITTIER INFORMATION, A MAP OF THE CITY, AND A DIRECTORY OF CHAMBER MEMBERS. ADVERTISING SPACES ARE SOLD TO COVER THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PRINTING AND DELIVERING THE PUBLICATIONS.
OTHER PROGRAMS - IN APRIL OF 2022 THE CHAMBER HELD ITS ANNUAL MEETING & BOARD INSTALLATION EVENT. IN MAY OF 2022 THE CHAMBER HELD ITS ANNUAL STATE OF THE CITY EVENT HIGHLIGHTING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES OF THE CITY OF WHITTIER. THE CHAMBER HELD ITS BUSINESS ECONOMIC OUTLOOK FORUM IN JULY 2022 TO HELP BUSINESS LEADERS PREPARE FOR THE COMING YEAR.IN AUGUST OF 2022 THE CHAMBER PARTNERED WITH SEVERAL LOCAL CHAMBERS TO HOLD THE STATE OF THE NATION EVENT FEATURING CONGRESSWOMAN LINDA SANCHEZ.THE CHAMBER'S ANNUAL SILVER SHIELD EVENT WAS HELD IN FEBRUARY 2023 TO HONOR OUR WHITTIER POLICE OFFICERS.
HATHAWAY GOLF CLASSIC - THE CHAMBER HELD ITS ANNUAL HATHAWAY GOLF CLASSIC IN SEPTEMBER 2022 WHICH INCLUDED A VIRTUAL AND A SILENT AUCTION. THROUGH SPONSORSHIPS AND DONATIONS, THE CHAMBER WAS ABLE TO RAISE MONEY TO FUND CONTINUING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR ITS MEMBERS.
BUSINESS EXPO - IN MARCH 2023 THE CHAMBER HELD ITS ANNUAL BUSINESS EXPO TO HIGHLIGHT THE DIVERSE BUSINESSES SERVING THE GREATER WHITTIER AREA COMMUNITY.
