Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR MARKED A RETURN TO CAMPUS FULL-TIME AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS OF REMOTE LEARNING. TO CELEBRATE THAT, TAM PTSA COORDINATED BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING FOR OUR STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND STAFF THAT PROVIDED FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING WHILE STILL FOLLOWING ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES REQUIRED BY MARIN HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND MARIN COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION. THESE EVENTS INCLUDED THE FRESHMAN BBQ, PARENT WELCOME COFFEE, GRADE LEVEL LUNCHTIME EVENTS, AND THE STAFF WELCOME LUNCHEON, AS WELL AS SEVERAL PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAMS PRESENTED VIA ZOOM. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR PTSA SUPPORTED OUR ASB LEADERSHIP STUDENTS IN THEIR EFFORTS TO BUILD COMMUNITY, UNDERWRITING COSTS FOR THEIR PROGRAMS AND PROVIDING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP IMPLEMENT THEM. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDED SPIRIT WEEK AND UNITY DAY CELEBRATIONS, THE CLUB FAIR, DANCES, TAM JAM, THE POP-UP PROM STORE, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENTS. PTSA ALSO HOSTED A SERIES OF SENIOR EVENTS, INCLUDING PANEL DISCUSSIONS FEATURING SENIOR STUDENTS, THE SENIOR BREAKFAST, SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT, AND SAFE & SOBER GRAD NIGHT. THE RETURN TO HOSTING GRAD NIGHT AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF PANDEMIC CANCELLATION WAS AN ENORMOUS UNDERTAKING THAT REQUIRED HUNDREDS OF HOURS OF PLANNING, BUT WAS WELL WORTH IT AS MORE THAN 95% OF OUR SENIORS ATTENDED AND CELEBRATED SAFELY AFTER GRADUATION. OUR DEI EFFORTS FOCUSED ON PRESENTING THE FIRST TAM DIVERSITY DAY. THIS SPRINGTIME EVENT BROUGHT TOGETHER STUDENT ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS, ETHNIC FOOD, AND LOCAL BIPOC/ LBGTQIA VENDORS TO CAMPUS ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO CELEBRATE DIVERSITY AND STIMULATE NEW CONVERSATIONS IN OUR TAM COMMUNITY. THIS EVENT WILL NOW BE AN ANNUAL TRADITION AT TAM, AS WILL THE EQUITY-BASED RISING STAR SCHOLARSHIPS THAT WE HAVE OFFERED FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. FOR OUR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS, WE OFFERED OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT AT SOCIAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING SEVERAL PTSA PARENT MIXERS AT THE JUNCTION. PTSA ALSO HOSTED COFFEES FOR PARENTS TO MEET AND ASK QUESTIONS OF OUR ADMIN TEAM AND OTHER STAFF MEMBERS IN AN INFORMAL SETTING. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDED GUEST SPEAKERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ON A RANGE OF PARENTING TOPICS, AS WELL AS PRESENTING PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH OUR COUNSELING AND WELLNESS STAFF, SUCH AS THE ABCS OF APS AND HONORS. WE ALSO COORDINATED OUR WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER, WHATS UP AT TAM, TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. FINALLY, FOR OUR STAFF MEMBERS WE HOSTED LUNCHES AND A HOLIDAY EVENT DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN THEIR COLLEGIAL COMMUNITY, WHICH HAD BEEN WEAKENED SIGNIFICANTLY BY PANDEMIC SEPARATION. WE PROVIDED COFFEE AND TREATS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO FURTHER IMPROVE MORALE.
