THE MISSION OF THE SAN RAMON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL PTA FOLLOWS THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL PTA ORGANIZATION AND THE CALIFORNIA STATE PTA: "TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE LIVES OF ALL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY REPRESENTING OUR MEMBERS AND EMPOWERING (CONTINUED ON TOP OF PAGE 2)

GRAD NIGHT IS A SENIOR CLASS ALL-NIGHT, "SAFE AND SOBER" GRADUATION PARTY THAT FOLLOWS THE GRADUATION CEREMONY COMPLETE WITH GAMES, MUSIC, DANCING, CRAFTS, FOOD, PRIZES AND LOTS OF FUN. THE THEME CHANGES EACH YEAR, SO EACH GRAD NIGHT IS UNIQUE FOR EACH GRADUATING CLASS. ORGANIZED BY THE SENIOR CLASS PARENTS, DESIGNATED AREAS OF THE SCHOOL ARE TRANSFORMED TO SUIT THE THEME OF THE NIGHT. SENIOR PARENTS WORK DILIGENTLY TO MAKE THIS EVENING SPECTACULAR. PARENTS FROM OTHER CLASSES VOLUNTEER TO WORK IN SEVERAL SHIFTS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AND INTO THE MORNING. PLANNING BEGINS A YEAR IN ADVANCE AND WORK CONTINUES RIGHT UP UNTIL GRAD NIGHT...A POSITIVE SEND OFF CULMINATING THE SENIOR STUDENTS' YEARS AT SRVHS.
IN ADDITION TO THE EVENTS LISTED ABOVE, THE SRVHS PTA ALSO COORDINATES AND/OR SUPPORTS MANY OTHER PROGRAMS AT SRVHS: BUILDING BRIDGES IS A PROGRAM THAT HELPS TRANSITION 8TH GRADE STUDENTS INTO HIGH SCHOOL AS FRESHMEN. THROUGH A SERIES OF EVENTS, INCOMING 9TH GRADERS AND THEIR PARENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO SRVHS ACADEMICS, ITS PROGRAMS, AND ITS CAMPUS. PARENT EDUCATION WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS PROVIDE MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE MANY FACETS OF RAISING TEENAGERS IN OUR AREA. THESE PROGRAMS ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF ALL STUDENTS. WOLF PACK DAYS (REGISTRATION) IS THE EVENT THAT TAKES PLACE IN EARLY AUGUST WHEREBY IMPORTANT SCHOOL FORMS ARE SUBMITTED, PHOTOS ARE TAKEN, DONATIONS ARE MADE (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE 0)
