THE MISSION OF THE HILLCREST SCHOOL PTA IS TO SUPPORT AND ENRICH THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OF THE STUDENTS OF HILLCREST SCHOOL IN OAKLAND BY ADVOCATING FOR PARENT EDUCATION, PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS, AND SUPPORT OF TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS.

CURRICULUM SUPPORTPTA FUNDS PAID FOR INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES FOR K-8 ACADEMIC CURRICULUM, INCLUDING SUBJECT AREAS OF ART, MUSIC, SCIENCE, READING, SPANISH, TECHNOLOGY, MATH, LIBRARY AND CLASSROOM AIDES. THE PTA ALSO FUNDED ALL ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE EMPLOYEES OF THESE PROGRAMS, WHICH INCLUDED WAGES, BENEFITS, TAXES, ACCOUNTING AND LEGAL.SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT SUPPORTTHE PTA PROVIDED FUNDING FOR VARIOUS ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS, INCLUDING PARENT EDUCATION, FAMILY EVENING ENTERTAINMENT, UPPER GRADES SEX EDUCATION AND MIDDLE SCHOOL ENRICHMENT.
