TO HOUSE AND FEED NEEDY AND HOMELESS PEOPLE IN THE CITY OF MODESTO, AND TO PROVIDE RELIGIOUS COUNSELING AND INSTRUCTION.

MODESTO GOSPEL MISSION HAS SERVED THE NEEDY IN STANISLAUS COUNTY SINCE 1948. IT HAS PROGRAMS FOR HOMELESS MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN, AND AT-RISK YOUTH IN THE AIRPORT DISTRICT OF MODESTO. THE MISSION HAS AN EMERGENCY SHELTER, LONG-TERM RESIDENTIAL LIFE-TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMS, AND THE FREEDOM ROAD DAY PROGRAM, PART-TIME MEDICAL CLINIC, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN. THE MISSION SERVES A TOTAL OF 625 MEALS OVER THE COURSE OF EACH DAY. IN 2021-2022, IT PROVIDED 228,125 TOTAL MEALS, 14,276 SAFE BED NIGHTS OF SHELTER TO APPROXIMATELY 2,901 INDIVIDUALS, AND 13,609 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE. WE GRADUATED 9 MEN AND WOMEN FROM OUR NEW LIFE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS AND ALL OF THEM SUCCESSFULLY OBTAINED GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. 14 MEN AND WOMEN WERE ASSISTED IN FINDING PERMANENT HOUSING IN OUR FREEDOM ROAD DAY PROGRAM. WE ALSO SERVED 310 CHILDREN AT OUR YOUTH CENTER. OUR GOAL THROUGH ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE TO SUCCEED, GET OFF THE STREETS AND OUT OF POVERTY, AND BECOME A PRODUCTIVE AND THRIVING MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY. THE MODESTO GOSPEL MISSION IS A REFUGE FOR RECOVERY AND RESTORATION THROUGH THE LOVE AND POWER OF JESUS CHRIST.
