OPENING OF NEW PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM AT WAVERLY PLACE APARTMENTS FOR 15 CHRONICALLY HOMELESS ADULTS LIVING WITH SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAMS - MHA PROVIDED 2052 UNITS OF SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE AGENCY'S COUNTY-WIDE FRIENDSHIP CENTER PROGRAM AND MORE THAN 300 HOURS OF INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT FOR ISOLATED INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS THROUGH THE COMMUNITY FRIENDS PROGRAM.WHILE THE MAJORITY OF SERVICES WERE PROVIDED REMOTELY, DURING SPRING AND SUMMER A NUMBER OF SAFE, OUTDOOR IN-PERSON EVENTS WERE HELD AS WELL.MHA STAFF PROVIDED MORE THAN 12,500 HOURS OF INTENSIVE COMMUNITY SUPPORT TO FORMERLY HOMELESS ADULTS LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS IN SCATTERED SITE HOUSING THROUGHOUT SAN MATEO COUNTY AND OF THOSE, MORE THAN 2,800 HOURS OF REHABILITATION SERVICES TO MORE THAN 250 INDIVIDUALS.


HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS: BETWEEN 7/1/2020 AND 6/30/2021 MHA PROVIDED MORE THAN 13,000 HOURS OF INTENSIVE SUPPORT AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS AND/OR HIV/AIDS IN THE COMMUNITY. OF THESE, MORE THAN 3,300 HOURS OF INTENSIVE REHABILITATION SERVICES WERE PROVIDED BY MHA OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS AND CASE MANAGERS TO HELP PEOPLE TO REMAIN SUCCESSFULLY HOUSED. MHA ALSO PROVIDED 5,364 NIGHTS OF EMERGENCY SHELTER.OUR COVID PROJECT RECEIVED 6,500 REFERRALS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR AND MORE THAN 4,500 INDIVIDUALS HAVE RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, DELIVERY OF GROCERIES OR OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS.


HOUSING PROPERTIES: MHA CONTINUES TO PROVIDE SAFE, DECENT, AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE HOMELESS AND ARE LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS.


BELMONT: MHA STAFF PROVIDED MORE THAN 19,000 HOURS OF SERVICE TO RESIDENTS INCLUDING CASE MANAGEMENT, WELLNESS ACTIVITIES, MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, AND NUTRITION GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES.
