NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (NAMI CC) HAD SECURED FUNDING FROM CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO IMPLEMENT A COUNTY WIDE PROGRAM TO ADVOCATE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL AND THOSE CARING FOR THEM. WE THEN RENEWED THE CONTRACT FOR THE FY 2018-2019 AND HAS SINCE BECOME A MAJOR PROGRAM TO RECRUIT VOLUNTEER TO HELP BUILD MORE SUPPORT FOR CONTRA COSTA COUNTY. NAMI CC ALSO HIRED A FULL-TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO HELP FOCUS THE COMPANIES FUNDRAISING AND STREAMLINE AND EMPHASIZE ALL PROGRAMS. NAMI CC HAD ALSO UNDERWENT A STRINGENT RE-AFFILIATED PROCESS WITH NAMI NATIONAL WHICH HAS BEEN ACCEPTED. LASTLY, NAMI CC HAS ALSO GROWN FROM A STAFF OF 3 TO 9 PAID EMPLOYEES AND CONTINUE TO GROW.
