WE REPAIR HOMES FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS, VETERANS, AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES AND THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES THAT SERVE THEM.

Part 3 - Line 4a
SAFE AT HOME- WE REPAIRED 24 HOUSES IN THE FISCAL YEAR. MODIFICATIONS INCLUDED BUILDING AND REPAIRING RAMPS AND STAIRS. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO MAKE ADDITIONAL ELECTRIC AND PLUMBING REPAIRS AT SOME SITES. OUR REPAIRS WERE CARRIED OUT WITH THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS, MANY OF THEM RETURNING TO THE WORK AFTER VACCINATION.
COMMUNITY FACILITY IMPROVEMENT - IN THE COMMUNITY FACILITY WORK WE ACCOMPLISHED, THERE WERE 7 SITES. MANY OF THE REPAIRS WERE SMALL IN SCOPE, BUT AT ONE SITE WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE RETROFITS TO A LARGE INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY OF BERKELEY TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR 50 ADULTS.
