THE WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM PROVIDES OUTREACH, ASSESSMENT AND INSTALLATION OF ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES TO ELIGIBLE HOMEOWNERS AND RENTERS IN SACRAMENTO, SUTTER AND YUBA COUNTIES. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA'S LOW INCOME HOUSING ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP) AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY.
THE WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN (WIC) SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD INSTRUMENTS, REFERRAL SERVICES AND NUTRITION EDUCATION TO ELIGIBLE PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN UP TO AGE FIVE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE FEDERAL FUNDS AND FALLS UNDER TITLE 7 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS, UNDER WHICH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IMPLEMENTS THE WIC PROGRAM.
