THE CAROL H. BRICE FAMILY CENTER(CBFC)PROVIDES BELOW MARKET RENTAL SPACE TO NONPROFIT AGENCIES COMMITTED TO SERVING FAMILIES. IT IS MORE THAN A BUILDING, IT IS A COMMUNITY AND WE HELP FAMILIES. REVITALIZING A BUILDING ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED IN 1971, THE CBFC ALLOWS NONPROFIT SERVICE PROVIDERS TO FOCUS ON THE PROGRAMS; THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE, THE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN THAT THEY SERVE. SUPPORT FOR THE CAROL H. BRICE FAMILY CENTER ISN'T JUST SUPPORT FOR A BUILDING, IT IS SUPPORT FOR THE FAMILIES WHO USE THIS BUILDING, SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WHO COME HERE TO LEARN, TO RECEIVE OTHER SERVICES THAT HELP US TO HAVE HEALTHY FAMILIES. WITH NO DEBT ON THE BUILDING, AND HAVING COMPLETED SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENTS TO ENSURE THE BUILDING CAN BE USED FOR MANY YEARS TO COME, CBFC DECIDED TO DISSOLVE. THE BUILDING WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE ORGANIZATION UTILIZING THE MAJORITY OF THE BUILDING FOR THE LAST NUMBER OF YEARS. SECURING THE BUILDING HELPS ENSURE THEY CAN CONTINUE TO SERVE THE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY WITH EDUCATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES. CBFC DISTRIBUTED THE REMAINING FUNDS TO ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY THAT EDUCATE AND SUPPORT SENIORS, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND OPPORTUNITIES.
