ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES BASEBALL FACILITIES AND TRAINING TO CHILDREN AGES 5 TO 13 YEARS OLD. THE LEAGUE PROVIDES FIELDS EQUIPMENT UNIFORMS AND COACHING TO APPROXIMATELY 800 ALAMEDA CA CHILDREN.
ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE PROVIDES EDUCATION AND ON-FIELD TRAINING FOR ITS VOLUNTEER COACHES AND UMPIRES. TRAINING INCLUDES NOT ONLY BASEBALL TEACHING TECHNIQUES BUT PROMOTING GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE IS A MEMBER OF THE POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE. ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE ALSO PROVIDES SAFETY TRAINING TO ALL OF ITS COACHES AND UMPIRES INCLUDING CPR AND DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING
ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE PROVIDES FULL AND PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR REGISTRATION FEES TO PLAYERS BASED ON NEED. NO CHILD IS TURNED AWAY FOR MONETARY REASONS. IN FISCAL YEAR 2020-21 ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO ABOUT 20 PLAYERS AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $1,000. MOST OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE PANDEMIC-SHORTENED 2020 SEASON WERE ROLLED OVER TO 2021.
