THE GRANT HIGH SCHOOL PTA'S MISSION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE HEALTH, SAFETY,AND EDUCATION OF STUDENTS AT GRANT HIGH AND IN THE BROADER COMMUNITY. WE ARE AFFILLIATED WITH THE PTA AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS. WE GIVE DIRECT SUPPORT TO THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT GRANT AND PROVIDE A FORUM FOR FAMILY INVOLVEMENT. WE SPONSOR FUNDRAISING ACCOUNTS FOR ARTS-ENRICHMENT FOR THE BAND AND CHOIR PROGRAMS AT GRANT.

Part 3

ANNUAL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES AND GOALS WERE ACCOMPLISHED WITH LIMTIED FUNDRASING TO APPROXIMATELY MATCH EXPENSES. WE CONDUCTED A SUICIDE AWARENESS EVENT, DRUG AND ALCHOHOL EDUCATION PROGRAM, SMALL GRANTS TO TEACHERS FOR ARTIST RESIDENCIES, WRITERS IN THE SCHOOLS PROGRAMS, PORTLAND PTA CLOTHING CLOSET SUPPORT AND TEACHER APPRECIATION EVENTS.


AS THE FISCAL AGENT FOR THE SCHOOL BAND PROGRAM, WE MANAGED THE FUNDS FOR THEIR ACTIVITIES. THIS GROUP DID SOME FUNDRAISING AND ALSO MADE PAYMENTS FOR TRIP EXPENSES. EXPENSES ALSO INCLUDED SHEET MUSIC, INSTRUMENTS, FEES FOR COMPETITIONS AND UNIFORMS.


AS THE FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE CHOIR PROGRAM, THE PTA MANAGED FUNDS FOR THE CHOIR PROGRAM. THESE FUNDS WERE USED BY 42 STUDENTS AND 10 CHAPERONES TO TRAVEL IN EUROPE FOR 10 DAYS IN JUNE 2019.
