HAS BEEN DEVOTED TO PRODUCING AND PUBLISHING ZYZZYVA, THE PREMIER PRINT JOURNAL DEDICATED TO PUBLISHING NEW WORKS BY THE FINEST CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS, ARTISTS, AND TRANSLATORS ON THE WEST COAST AND BEYOND.ZYZZYVA BRINGS NATIONAL ATTENTION TO THE WORK OF WEST COAST AUTHORS AND ARTISTS, OFFERING MANY OF CONTEMPORARY LITERATURES MOST ACCLAIMED VOICES THEIR FIRST TIME IN PRINT AND THEIR FIRST ACCESS TO A NATIONAL AUDIENCE. THE JOURNAL IS AVAILABLE BY SUBSCRIPTION AND IN BOOKSTORES AND NEWSSTANDS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. IN KEEPING WITH OUR MISSION SINCE INCEPTION, OUR GOAL WAS TO CONTINUE PUBLISHING THE JOURNAL AND TO CONTINUE OUR SUPPORT FOR WRITERS AND ARTISTS. TO THAT END, WE PUBLISHED FOUR EXEMPLARY ISSUES OF THE JOURNAL IN 2021, FEATURING NEW WORKS BY 41 WRITERS AND SUBSTANTIAL PORTFOLIOS BY 2 VISUAL ARTISTS, IN BEAUTIFULLY PRODUCED AND CAREFULLY EDITED VOLUMES WHICH WERE DISTRIBUTED TO BOOKSTORES AND NEWSSTANDS NATIONWIDE. WE HOSTED OR PARTICIPATED IN 26 EVENTS TO BRING PUBLICITY, ATTENTION AND AN ENGAGED AUDIENCE TO OUR AUTHORS. WE CONTINUE TO OFFER EMERGING TALENTS A VALUABLE, NATIONALLY-DISTRIBUTED PLATFORM (FEATURING WORK BY 18 EMERGING WRITERS IN THE JOURNAL OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR) WHILE ALSO OFFERING SUBSTANTIAL SUPPORT (THROUGH PUBLICITY, IN PRINT AND ONLINE; THROUGH EVENTS; AND THROUGH SUSTAINING OUR INCREASED AUTHOR PAYMENTS) FOR ALL OUR AUTHORS, EMERGING AND ESTABLISHED ALIKE.
