THE MISSION OF THE OGDEN SCHOOL FOUNDATION IS TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OF STUDENTS IN THE OGDEN SCHOOL DISTRICT. MOTIVATE AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS, DISTRICT EMPLOYEES, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO EXPAND THEIR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION.

THE OGDEN SCHOOL FOUNDATION ENHANCES THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OF STUDENTS IN THE OGDEN SCHOOL DISTRICT BY EXPOSING THEM TO A BROAD RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN LITERACY, MATH/SCIENCE, THE ARTS, AND TECHNOLOGY; EXECUTING FUNDRAISING EVENTS WHERE PATRONS CAN SUPPORT PUBLIC EDUCATION; SUPPORTING THE MISSION OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND EDUCATING THE WHOLE CHILD; HELPING OUR TEACHERS AND SCHOOLS ACQUIRE INNOVATIVE EQUIPMENT FOR MEANINGFUL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES THROUGH OUR GRANTS PROGRAM. OUR TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM UTILIZES THE DONORSCHOOSE PLATFORM. THIS HAS ENABLED US TO LEVERAGE ADDITIONAL DOLLARS COMING TO OUR STUDENTS TO INCREASE THE PROGRAMS REACH. THIS PAST YEAR WE HAVE FUNDED 657 PROJECTS FOR A TOTAL OF $455,704.48. THE FOUNDATION SPENT $184,191.44 WITH $271,513.04 DONATED FROM OUTSIDE SOURCES. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES FUNDS FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT THAT ENRICH STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES. IN ADDITION TO OUR TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDS FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT THAT ENRICH STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE SUCH AS VISITING AUTHORS, STEM SUPPLIES AND TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT, AND MUSIC AND ART PROGRAMS.
