SFSTA IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR THOSE IN THE SECURITIES INDUSTRY. IT PROMOTES THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS THROUGH SOCIAL AND CHARITABLE EVENTS AND ENCOURAGES GOOD FELLOWSHIP, COOPERATION AND HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS OF CONDUCT.

Part 3 - Line 4a

SFSTA HOSTS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE OPEN TO PARTICIPANTS FROM THE US AND CANADA. DUE TO COVID, THE 2020 CONFERENCE WAS CANCELLED. THE 2019 EVENT WAS ATTENDED BY OVER 200 PEOPLE. THE EVENT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE BUSINESS MEETINGS, DISCUSSION OF ISSUES SUCH AS QUANTITATIVE INVESTMENTS, TRADING STRATEGIES,AND MARKET STRUCTURE UPDATES. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE RECEPTIONS, DINNERS AND VARIOUS GOLFING OPPORTUNITIES TO INCLUDE A TOURNAMENT. THIS CONFERENCE IS THE LARGEST AND MOST WELL ATTENDED OF ALL OF THOSE AFFILIATED WITH THE NATIONAL SECURITIES TRADERS ASSOCIATION.


THE ASSOCIATION HAS VARIOUS MEMBER EVENTS DURING THE YEAR TO FACILITATE PROFESSIONALNETWORKING SUCH AS INCLUDE GOLF, BOWLING, AND A HOLIDAY GATHERING.


THE ASSOCIATION GRANTS GENERAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. OVER THELAST SIX YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS GRANTED OVER $60,000 TO ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE FOCUSED ON A VARIETY OF SOCIAL ISSUES TO INCLUDE THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN, FEED AND SHELTER THOSE IN NEED, OR SUPPORT LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL IN BAY AREA YOUTH. SF SECURITY TRADER MEMBERS ALSO VOLUNTEER AT LOCAL FOOD BANKS, GLIDE MEMORIAL CHURCH EVENTS, AND SPECIAL OLYMPIC PROGRAMS.
