THE MISSION OF THE STANLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL PTA FOLLOWS THE MISSION OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE PTA: "TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE LIVES OF ALL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY REPRESENTING OUR MEMBERS AND EMPOWERING AND SUPPORTING THEM WITH SKILLS IN ADVOCACY, LEADERSHIP, AND COMMUNICATION."

Part 3 - Line 4a

ACADEMIC, CLASSROOM & SITE SUPPORT---------------------THE PTA SUPPORTS THE STAFF AND FACULTY BY SUPPLEMENTING NEARLY ALL GRADE LEVELS WITH SPECIAL PROGRAMS, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES OUTSIDE THE REGULAR SCOPE OF GRADE REQUIREMENTS. THIS INCLUDES SUPPORTING TEACHERS BY ENABLING THEM TO PURCHASE CLASS SUPPLIES AND BOOKS TO SUPPLEMENT SCHOOL RESOURCES, AND SUPPORTING LIBRARY AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS AT THE SCHOOL BY PURCHASING ADDITIONAL MATERIALS. BOOKS, PERIODICALS, COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE ARE UTILIZED BY VARIOUS STUDENTS AT ALL GRADE LEVELS.


EXTRA CURRICULAR & ENRICHMENT----------------------THE PTA SUPPORTS ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS, INCLUDING COUNSELING SUPPORT, CULTURAL EVENTS, SPORTS PROGRAMS, SUMMER READING, AND LUNCHTIME CLUBS.


SOCIAL/COMMUNITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES------------------------------ADDITIONAL PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE FUNDING SAFETY MATERIALS FOR SCHOOL USE, SUPPORTING PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND MATERIALS WHICH ENABLE VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE FOR AND COMMUNICATE WITH STUDENTS, FUNDING FOR STUDENT SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING 8TH GRADE GRADUATION, AND STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS.
