THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE WEBER COUNTY ORGANIZATION FOR THE ELDERLY IS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF SENIOR CITIZENS. THEY PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIORS TO HAVE ACCESS TO COMPUTERS, AND OTHER FACILITIES THAT THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD AS AN INDIVIDUAL. THEY FACILITATE SOCIAL INTERACTION BETWEEN SENIORS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY SPONSORING OUTINGS TO THE THEATER, MOVIES, DINNING OUT AND OTHER PLACES WHERE SOCIAL INTERACTION CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED. THE ORGANIZATION ATTEMPTS TO ADDRESS THE SOCIAL ISOLATION OF SENIORS. SOCIAL INTERACTION IS CRITICAL FOR THE HEALTH OF SENIORS.
