THE ACADEMY OF NEUROLOGY PHYSICAL THERAPY (ANPT) IS A COMPONENT OF THE AMERICAN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION. THE ANPT WORKS TO EMPOWER ITS MEMBERS TO OPTIMIZE MOVEMENT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY NEUROLOGIC CONDITIONS. IT DOES THIS BY: -PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT & DISSEMINATION OF NEW KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING PHYSICAL THERAPY MANAGEMENT OF PERSONS WITH NEUROLOGIC DYSFUNCTION. -PROMOTES STANDARDS OF SCIENTIFIC ACCEPTABILITY IN NEUROLOGIC RESEARCH.-SERVES AS A MAJOR SOURCE OF INFORMATION ON NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR THE PROFESSION. THE ANPT DEVELOPS AND OFFERS PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS, PEER NETWORKING AND MENTORING, INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS AS WELL AS CONFERENCES AND EVENTS.
