TO PRODUCE FREE, LIVE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR BAY AREA CHILDREN, TEENS, ADULTS, AND ELDERS WHO DONT HAVE THE ABILITY TO EASILY EXPERIENCE THE UPLIFTING POWER OF THE ARTS IN ANY OTHER WAY.

BREAD & ROSES COMBATS HOPELESSNESS, PROMOTES HEALING, AND UPLIFTS SPIRITS BY PRODUCING ANNUALLY MORE THAN 500 FREE LIVE, HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCES (MUSIC, COMEDY,DANCE, ETC.) FOR ISOLATED AND INSTITUTIONALIZED CHILDREN, TEENS, ADULTS AND ELDERS IN MORE THAN 120 SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA INSTITUTIONS (HOSPITALS, HOMELESS SHELTERS, DRUG & ALCOHOL REHAB, SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOLS, JAILS AND MORE.)BREAD & ROSES WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PRODUCE 509 SHOWS THIS YEAR WITHOUT THE USE OF 283 VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING 235 MUSICIANS AND 48 OTHER VOLUNTEERS WHO ASSIST WITH EVENTS AND OFFICE WORK.
