ALAMEDA PTA PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO ALAMEDA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN PORTLAND, OR AND SUPPORTS THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES DIRECT SUPPORT TO ALAMEDA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO SUPPORT AND ENRICH THE EDUCATION PROGRAMS OFFERED BY THE SCHOOL, INCLUDING CLASSROOM SUPPORT, SCHOOL GARDEN, CHESS CLUB, READING AND WRITING PROGRAMS, FAMILY MATH AND SCIENCE PROGRAMS.


ALAMEDA PTA PROVIDES ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND OUTREACH TO THE ALAMEDA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO BUILD SUPPORT FOR THE SCHOOL AND THE PROGRAMS IT PROVIDES AND ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN THE LEARNING PROCESS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SUPPORTS THE GREATER PORTLAND EDUCATION COMMUNITY THROUGH GRANTS TO PORTLAND PTA CLOTHING CLOSET AND STUDENT AID FUND.


ALAMEDA PTA FACILITATES FUNDRAISING AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGN CALLED KIDS CARE CLUB WHERE STUDENTS RAISED FUNDS FOR ORGANIZATIONS OUTSIDE THE IMMEDIATE SCHOOL COMMUNITY. FUNDS WERE DONATED TO UNICEF AND WATER FOR LIFE.
