SOROPTIMIST IS A GLOBAL WOMEN'S ORGANIZATION WORKING TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND GIRLS THROUGH SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CHANGE. THE NAME SOROPTIMIST MEANS 'BEST FOR WOMEN AND THAT IS WHAT WE STRIVE TO ACHIEVE. SOROPTIMISTS ARE WOMEN AT THEIR BEST, WORKING TO HELP OTHER WOMEN TO BE THEIR BEST!

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY FOCUSED ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE EASTERN OREGON REGION. SOROPTIMIST PROVIDED FUNDS TO 24 ORGANIZATIONS FOR A TOTAL OF OVER $49,000. SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN THROUGH ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS FRIDAY BACKPACK PROGRAM, HIGH SCHOOL AND TEAM ACTIVITIES, SWIM LESSONS FOR YOUTH, AND SCHOLASTIC BASED PROGRAMS.


PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS SUCH AS EOU SCHOLARSHIP, EOU CONTINUATION SCHOLARSHIP, UNION COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP. LIVE YOUR DREAM SCHOLARSHIP. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PROVIDED TO 15 RECIEPIENTS.
