Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
FUNDS RAISED FOR OUR "BRIDGING BARRIERS THROUGH BOULDERING" PROGRAM IN THE FIRST FISCAL YEAR ENABLED US TO PROVIDE FREE CLIMBING AND CLIMBING INSTRUCTION TO NEARLY 500 CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS. THIS INCLUDED ONE-YEAR MEMBERSHIPS FOR THREE YOUTHS, GRANTING THEM UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO THE CLIMBING FACILITIES. ALL PARTICIPANTS WERE PERMITTED TO USE THE CLIMBING FACILITIES FOR FREE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WITHOUT NEEDING TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR CLASS OR GROUP. THE FACILITY'S MANAGEMENT GENEROUSLY DONATED THEIR TIME AND EXPERTISE TO ENSURE THE PROGRAM'S SUCCESS AND TO RECRUIT PARTICIPANTS. THESE PARTICIPANTS INCLUDED CHILDREN FROM A LOCAL PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL (91 VISITS), CHILDREN ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR PARENTS (80 VISITS), YOUNG ADULTS VISITING INDEPENDENTLY (118 VISITS), VARIOUS SCOUTING GROUPS (77 VISITS), A HOMESCHOOL GROUP (31 VISITS), AND ATTENDEES OF TWO "FREE DAYS" EVENTS FOR VETERANS AND OTHERS (9 VISITS). ADDITIONALLY, WE PROVIDED OVER 80 FREE CLIMBING DAYS TO VETERANS AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS. THE MONETARY VALUE OF THESE VISITS EXCEEDED $9,000. THE VARIANCE BETWEEN ACTUAL COSTS AND FUNDS RAISED WAS OFFSET BY IN-KIND DONATIONS OF SERVICES, ENSURING THE PROGRAM'S FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY AND ITS CONTINUED POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY.
