THE(ACLO) WORKS TO ENSURE THAT ARTS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY, NOW AND INTO THE FUTURE. ACLO FACILITATES THE PLACEMENT AND PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC ART IN LAKE OSWEGO, PROVIDES ACCESS TO ART EXHIBITS FOR RESIDENTS, VISITORS, & ADVANCES LIFELONG LEARNING.

GALLARY WITHOUT WALLS: ON BEHALF OF CITY OF LAKE OSWEGO, MANAGED OUTDOOR SCULPTURE ON THE STREETS; INSTALLED AND DEINSTALLED SCLUPTURES ON LOAN FROM ARTISTS; HELD PUBLIC VOTE FOR FAVORITE SCULPTURE TO PURCHASE FOR CITYS PERMANENT COLLECTION; HELD CELEBRATION AND DOCENT LED TOURS OF THE 30 PUBLIC SCULPTURES IN THE ROTATING GALLERY WITHOUT WALLS; OVERSIGHT, MANAGEMENT & MAINTENANCE OF CITY OF LAKE OSWEGO PERMANENT PUBLIC ART COLLECTION.


PUBLIC ART ACQUISITION: ANNUALLY THE ARTS COUNCIL ACQUIRES ONE NEW ART SCULPTURE FOR THE CITY OF LAKE OSWEGO VIA THE POPULAR PEOPLES CHOICE ACTIVITY. MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY VOTE FOR ONE OF THE SCULPTURES ON EXHIBIT THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY TO ADD TO THE CITYS PERMANENT COLLECTION.


ART MART - MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY CAN DONATE THEIR OLD COLLECTIBLES AND ARTWORKS TO MAKE ROOM IN THEIR HOMES FOR SOMETHING NEW.
