SISTERS FOLK FESTIVAL IS AN INNOVATIVE, YEAR-ROUND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY AND TRANSFORMS LIVES THROUGH MUSIC AND ART.

Part 3 - Line 4a

FESTIVAL SISTERS FOLK FESTIVAL IS A 3-DAY CELEBRATION OF AMERICANA AND ROOTS MUSIC. THE FESTIVAL IS A PUBLIC EVENT HELD ANNUALLY EACH FALL IN DOWNTOWN SISTERS, OREGON OVER MULTIPLE VENUES. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM MORE THAN 30 REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS AND FREE OFFERINGS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. IN 2023, SFF STARTED A NEW MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL, BIG PONDEROO. THE EVENT KICKS OFF WITH A FREE MUSIC AND ART EVENT FOLLOWED BY A TWO DAY TICKETED FESTIVAL.


EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMINGTHE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING ARM OF SISTERS FOLK FESTIVAL INC. INCLUDES COLLABORATION ON THE AMERICANA PROJECT AND LUTHIER PROGRAMS AT SISTERS HIGH SCHOOL, THE AMERICANA SONG ACADEMY, SUMMER CREATIVITY CAMPS FORMIDDLE SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS, AND VARIOUS CLASSES OFFERED AT SISTERS ART WORKS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, SFF INC. PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE STRINGS CLUB AND AFTER SCHOOL CREATIVITY CLUB AT SISTERS MIDDLE SCHOOL AND BRINGS GUEST PERFORMING ARTISTS AND ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE TO ALL THREE SISTERS PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR.


CONCERTS AND EVENTSTHE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION ALSO PRODUCES CONCERTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR UNDER THE NAME SFF PRESENTS. THERE ARE GENERALLY 3-4 TICKETED SUMMER CONCERTS HELD AT THE SISTERS ART WORKS VENUE PLUS A FREE COMMUNITY HOMETOWN HANG CONCERT, AND INDOOR SHOWS HELD AT PRIVATE VENUES OVER THE WINTER MONTHS.
