HMC'S MISSION IS TO LEAD THE ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT, WEALTH CREATION AND EQUITY FOR LATINOS.

SINCE 1996, THE HISPANIC CHAMBER HAS AWARDED ALMOST $3 MILLION IN INDIVIDUALLY AND CORPORATE SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIPS TO LATINO STUDENTS THROUGHOUT OREGON AND SW WASHINGTON. THE PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS IS TO ENCOURAGE AND INSPIRE LATINO STUDENTS TO START OR CONTINUE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION.


THE HISPANIC CHAMBER OFFERS A VARIETY OF OTHER SERVICES IN THE AREAS OF OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY TO THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, EVENTS, MEMBERSHIP, ITS WEBSITE, AND WORKSHOPS.


BUSINESS EDUCATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND TRAINING PROVIDES OUTREACH, EDUCATION, AND ONE-ON-ONE SERVICES TO NEW AND EXISTING BUSINESSES IN NUMEROUS AREAS INCLUDING DEVELOPMENT OF ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS, LOAN/BOND PROPOSALS, FINANCING, INSURANCE, MARKETING, TECHNOLOGY, OPERATIONS, AND MANAGEMENT.


LATINO LEADERSHIP CLASS IS A 12-MONTH PROGRAM THAT ENHANCES THE LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS OF LATINO LEADERS TO POSITION THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR ADVANCEMENT IN THEIR EMPLOYMENT WHILE ALSO PROMOTING COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM ON PUBLIC BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
