CACLC OFFERS CHILD ABUSE INTERVENTION SERVICES IN A SAFE, NEUTRAL AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE SUSPECTED OF BEING ABUSED OR NEGLECTED. CACLC WORKS WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CHILD WELFARE AGENCIES TO SUPPORT CHILD ABUSE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN LINCOLN COUNTY, OREGON, WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING TRAUMA, PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE, AND IMPROVING OUTCOMES.

CHILDREN'S ADVOCOCACY PROGRAM INCLUDES ON-SITE SERVICES SUCH AS VIDEO TAPED FORENSIC INTERVIEWS CONDUCTED BY A FORENSIC INTERVIEWER TRAINED IN APPLICABLE OREGON INTERVIEWING GUIDELINES, MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS CONDUCTED BY SPECIALLY TRAINED MEDICAL PROVIDERS, AND CHILD AND FAMILY ADVOCACY AND COUNSELING. OFF-SITE SERVICES INCLUDE VICTIM ADVOCACY FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AS THEY ARE PROCESSED BY THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, OUTREACH, AND DARKNESS TO LIGHT (D2L) COMMUNITY TRAINING SESSIONS. D2L TRAINING SESSIONS TEACH ATTENDEES ABOUT HOW TO PREVENT, RECOGNIZE AND REACT RESPONSIBLY TO CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND IS OFFERED TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS AT MINIMAL OR NO COST.
