TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ITS MEDICAL AND SURGICAL HOSPITAL.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL CORVALLIS (GSH), THE LARGEST HOSPITAL IN LINN, BENTON AND LINCOLN COUNTIES, OFFERS MORE THAN 22 MEDICAL SPECIALTIES INCLUDING COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CARE, A FULL-SERVICE CARDIOLOGY AND VASCULAR SURGERY PROGRAM, NEUROSURGERY AND OTHER REGIONAL SERVICES. GSH HAS MORE THAN 2,100 EMPLOYEES AND 100 VOLUNTEERS SERVING THE MEDICAL NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. IT IS LICENSED TO OPERATE 188 BEDS AND IS ONE OF SIX 'LEVEL 2' TRAUMA CENTERS IN OREGON. DURING 2021, GSH SERVED 8,195 INPATIENTS, HAD 28,461 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITS, PERFORMED 9,895 SURGERIES AND DELIVERED 884 BABIES. IN ADDITION, GSH PERFORMED 99,852 IMAGING PROCEDURES, AND HAD 286,418 PHYSICIAN CLINIC VISITS.
