COMMUNITY EVENTS PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO PROMOTE CHAMBER MEMBERS WHILE CONTRIBUTING TO A PROSPEROUS COMMUNITY. THIS INCLUDES THE ANNUAL EVENT CELEBRATE CORVALLIS, PARTICIPATION IN NATIONAL LEMONADE DAY, THE ANNUAL CHAMBER GOLF SCRAMBLE, AND OTHER EVENTS. ON YEARS ENDING IN ODD NUMBERS, THE CHAMBER HOSTS THE WILLAMETTE ANGELS CONFERENCE IN CORVALLIS WHICH IS AN INVESTMENT CONFERENCE THAT CONNECTS EARLY STAGE AND SEED STARTUPS WITH ANGEL AND VENTURE INVESTORS.
BUSINESS NETWORKING PROGRAMS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO NURTURE CONNECTIONS WITH A VARIETY OF CONTACTS AND RESOURCES. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE CHAMBER AMBASSADORS, GREETERS, BUSINESS AFTER HOURS, AND FINDITINCORVALLIS.COM ONLINE DIRECTORY.
BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAMS PROVIDE ON-GOING TRAINING AND RELEVANT INFORMATION TO CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP THROUGH QUALIFIED SPEAKERS AND PRESENTERS. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE LUNCH AND LEARNS, MONTHLY FORUMS, AND MONTHLY WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCHEONS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2017, THE CHAMBER STARTED AN ON-GOING CONTRACT WITH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICE TO PARTNER IN PROVIDING ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL FORUMS RELATED TO THE WILLAMETTE INNOVATORS NETWORK AND CORVALLIS PUB TALKS.
IN ADDITION TO THE THREE MAIN PROGRAMS, THE CHAMBER HAS A BUSINESS ADVOCACY PROGRAM WHICH FOCUSES ON MAINTAINING RELATIONS WITH STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, LOBBYING FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY, AND KEEPING CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP INFORMED ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND ITS POTENTIAL IMPACT. THE CHAMBER HAS A THRIVING GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF OVER 20 CHAMBER MEMBERS.
