EDUCATIONAL ARTS SUPPORTS MANY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS SUCH AS ARTISTS-IN-SCHOOLS. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH HANDS ON ART LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT HELP PROVIDE ANOTHER EDUCATIONAL LAYER TO THE MATERIAL THEY ARE ALREADY LEARNING IN THEIR DAILY CLASSROOM. DONATED FACILITIES RENTAL FROM THE FAIRBANKS NORTH STAR BOROUGH ATTRIBUTED $1,987 TO THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT.
VISUAL ARTS COMMITTEE SCHEDULES ART EXHIBITS IN THE BEAR GALLERY FOR SOLO AND GROUP EXHIBITS. ARTISTS FROM OUTSIDE THE COMMUNITY ARE BROUGHT IN TO GIVE INTERIOR ARTISTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH A BROADER COMMUNITY OF ARTS. ALSO, UP WITH ART IS SUPPORTED BECAUSE IT ALLOWS ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO PUT THEIR ART WORK INTO AN ART EXHIBIT FOR THE COMMUNITY TO APPRECIATE. DONATED FACILITIES RENTAL FROM THE FAIRBANKS NORTH STAR BOROUGH ATTRIBUTED $15,893.12 TO THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT.
PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS SUPPORT SUMMER-LONG FREE PERFORMANCES IN PIONEER PARK FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND VISITORS OF ALL AGES TO ENJOY. THIS PLATFORM ALSO GIVES A DIVERSITY OF PERFORMING ARTISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SHOWCASE THEIR ANTISTRY TO A LIVE AUDIENCE.
LITERARY ARTS AND REGRANTING SUPPORTS PROGRAMS SUCH AS WRITING IN THE DARK, THE ALASKA WRITERS GUILD, THE STATEWIDE POETRY CONTEST AND THE COMMUNITY WRITERS GROUP TO HELP NURTURE WRITERS SO THAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS. REGRANTING CONSISTS OF REGRANTING FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE CITY OF FAIRBANKS FOR LOCAL ARTIST GROUPS.
