(AHSO) SAFE ROADS, HIGHWAY SAFETY PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES FOR OCCUPANT PROTECTION PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE TRAFFIC SAFETY INFORMATION SYSTEMS, IMPAIRED DRIVING COUNTERMEASURES, DISTRACTED DRIVING, STATE GRADUATED DRIVER LICENSING LAWS, AND NON-MOTORIZED SAFETY. SAFE ALASKANS EVALUATES SAFETY PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES, AND PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING STATEWIDE.
(DBH) ANCHORAGE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COALITION. POPULATION LEVEL STRATEGIES THAT HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE COALITION INCLUDE YOUTH MATTER GRANTS, SECOND ORDER CHANGE, YOUTH PROGRAM QUALITY, ALASKA NATIVE CULTURAL CHARTER SCHOOL (ANCCS) TRAUMA INFORMED CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT, AND POLICY EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY. THE AYDC YOUTH MATTER GRANTS INITIATIVE IS WORKING TO INCREASE YOUTH PERCEPTIONS OF MATTERING BY SUPPORTING YOUTH- LED PROJECTS THAT INCREASE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL SAFETY, PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE YOUTH-ADULT RELATIONSHIPS, AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY.
