THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO HELPING THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF SUMBA BY IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THEIR LIVES THROUGH BETTER HEALTH, EDUCATION, CLEAN WATER, MALARIA CONTROL, AND INCOME GENERATION, A KEY COMPONENT IN ACHIEVING THE LONG-TERM GOAL OF LESSENING THE OPPRESSIVE IMPACTS OF POVERTY.

CURRENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE:A HEALTH CARE PROGRAM WITH SEVERAL MEDICAL CLINICS.A NUTRITION PROGRAM TO FEED MALNOURISHED INFANTS AND PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN.A MALARIAL CONTROL PROGRAM SERVICING THE NEEDS OF 30,000 PEOPLE IN WEST SUMBA.A WATER PROJECT OPERATING WELLS AND PUMPING STATIONS TO PROVIDE CLEAN WATER TO MORE THAN 20,000 PEOPLE IN 164 VILLAGES.AN EDUCATION PROGRAM REPAIRS SCHOOLS, PROVIDES TEACHING SUPPLIES, AND CONDUCTS CLASSES IN HYGIENE, COMPUTER SKILLS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS FOR 5,000 PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS.
