MUSO PARTNERS WITH GOVERNMENTS TO DESIGN, TEST, AND SCALE EVIDENCE-BASED STRATEGIES FOR RAPID, UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE.MUSO'S RAPID HEALTH CARE MODEL IS DESIGNED TO SAVE LIVES BY REACHING PATIENTS EARLY IN THE COURSE OF THEIR ILLNESS AND CONNECTING THEM TO A SUITE OF CARE IN THE HOME OR CLINIC, ALL WITHOUT OUT-OF-POCKET FEES. MUSO DIRECTLY SERVES 400,000 PATIENTS IN MALI AND COTE D'IVOIRE. RESEARCH HAS DOCUMENTED THAT COMMUNITIES WHERE MUSO WORKS IN MALI, WHICH PREVIOUSLY HAD SOME OF THE WORLD'S HIGHEST CHILD DEATH RATES, ACHIEVED AND SUSTAINED CHILD DEATH RATES LOWER THAN ANY COUNTRY IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA. TO END THE CHILD AND MATERNAL MORTALITY CRISES AND DELIVER UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE AT SCALE, MUSO COLLABORATES WITH POLICYMAKERS AND IMPLEMENTERS TO DESIGN, TEST, AND SCALE EVIDENCE-BASED HEALTH SYSTEMS THAT DELIVER CARE WITH SPEED: TO ALL PATIENTS WHO NEED IT, WHEN THEY NEED IT. MUSO HAS WORKED IN MALI SINCE 2008, COLLABORATING WITH THE MALIAN GOVERNMENT AS AN OPERATIONAL RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTING PARTNER, BUILDING THE EVIDENCE BASE REQUIRED TO CREATE NATIONAL HEALTH POLICY CHANGE. WITHIN MALI, MUSO HAS NINE OPERATIONAL SITES (8 IN RURAL MALI AND 1 IN PERI-URBAN MALI). MUSO'S MODEL IS TO DELIVER RAPID CARE (WITHOUT FEES) VIA DOORSTEP CARE (WHEREBY COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS SEARCH FOR PATIENTS THROUGH DOOR-TO-DOOR HOME VISITS, AND RAPIDLY CONNECT THEM TO LIFE-SAVING, UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE) OR THROUGH ONE OF ITS RAPID-ACCESS CLINICS.
