EMPOWERING INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES. INFORMATION/EDUCATION PROVIDES RESOURCE GUIDES, NEWSLETTERS WITH RELEVANT ARTICLES AND NEWS, EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS, HOSTING ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE FORUM.

PC2 IS A PARENT-DRIVEN NON-PROFIT AGENCY SERVING PIERCE COUNTY WASHINGTON CITIZENS WHO EXPERIENCE A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY, THEIR FAMILIES, PROVIDERS, AND PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD. PC2 PROVIDES SYSTEM NAVIGATION TO THE INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR THE COMPLEX PROCESSES OF THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADMINISTRATION (DDA), SSI, LEGAL ISSUES (GUARDIANSHIPS, WILLS & TRUSTS). PC2 PROVIDES ON-GOING, UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION THROUGH ELECTRONIC E-BLASTS, NEWSLETTERS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA. PC2 MAINTAINS A COMPREHENSIVE 500-PAGE RESOURCE GUIDE OF SERVICES AND SUPPORTS AVAILABLE IN PIERCE COUNTY, AS WELL AS STATE AND FEDERAL RESOURCES. PC2'S HOUSING PROGRAM IS A REVOLVING DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS WHO EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTED DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE FIRST-TIME HOME BUYERS AND MEET INCOME ELIGIBILITY. PC2 WORKS DIRECTLY WITH FAMILIES IN ALL STEPS OF THE HOME-BUYING PROCESS TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME, PROVIDING SAFE ADEQUATE HOUSING TO THIS VULNERABLE POPULATION. PC2 ADVERTISES THE PROGRAM THROUGH ITS REGULAR OUTREACH AVENUES (I.E. E-BLASTS), NEWSLETTER, SOCIAL MEDIA, WORD OF MOUTH).
